How to remove Facebook Messenger from Handover to Human Bot (Convo Module)


Important: Please do not delete Messenger from the Handover to Human Convo Module as this might affect the operation of this module.

If you haven't connected your Facebook Business Page to Maisie then Messenger will not be shown to customers in any Convo Flows that use the Handover to Human Convo Module.

If you have already connected your Facebook Business Page to Maisie and you’d prefer not to offer any chat/support via Facebook Messenger the best way to do that is to remove it as an option in any Convo Flows into which you insert or have inserted the Handover to Human Convo Module.

You can do this as follows:

  1. Insert the Handover to Human Convo Module into the part(s) of each Convo Flow where you’d like to use it
  2. Hover over the Email and Messenger Quick Reply options on the chatbot preview on the right of your dashboard screen
  3. Click the edit icon
  4. Click in the Messenger box where it appears on the left panel
  5. Click the delete (trash can) icon
  6. Click Save

Now Messenger is removed as an option in this part of the Convo Flow. Repeat this process wherever you wish to use the Handover to Human Convo Module. Please remember to Publish or Save your changes.

Pro tip: You might wish to change the message text above the remaining Email Quick Reply and/or the the Email Quick Reply text itself so it better suits the conversation flow.
