How to customise Convo Flows for your website chatbots

When you create your Maisie account a series of Convo Flows for different pages is created for you automatically and set to unpublished status. These Convo Flow templates have been designed specifically for e-commerce stores so you can easily edit them and get your Website Chatbots up and running quickly. You don’t have to use these templates if you don’t wish to – you can create your own custom Convo Flows from scratch.

On the Convo Flows main screen you will see a list of the Convo Flows that were installed when you created your Maisie account.

In the first column you will see a red dot if a Convo Flow is not published and a green dot if it is published. Once a Convo Flow is set to published it will be live on your website.

In the next column is the name of the Convo Flow.

The Pages column shows which page(s) the Convo Flow will run on. Any Convo Flow set for Product Detail Page will run on every product detail page on your site.

The User Type column shows whether the Convo Flow will be displayed to all visitors, new visitors or returning visitors. You can have different Convo Flows for new and returning visitors on the same page. However, you cannot run a Convo Flow for all visitors and a different Flow for, say, new visitors on the same page as there is a conflict.

The Trigger column shows whether a Notification or Convo Flow is triggered based on a website visitor’s time on page or their exit intent behaviour.

The Conditions column shows any conditions or rules that apply to the Notification or Convo Flow triggering. For example, you may wish to trigger a different exit intent Convo Flow depending upon the value of the items in a website visitor’s shopping cart. You may also want to create some sense of urgency by triggering a shipping cut-off alert Notification.

You can edit any Convo Flow by clicking the edit icon on the far right. The power icon will publish or unpublish a Convo Flow. The trash can icon will delete a Convo Flow (careful, this cannot be undone!).
